Evri mileage tracker

An Evri round pays per parcel, so the hourly rate depends on how tightly packed the round is and how far you drive to cover it. JoltMile records each round as a shift, with its miles and pay, and shows what it paid per hour after costs.

A round that is dense and close to home can pay well per hour, and a scattered rural one can pay much less for the same parcel count. Fuel is the difference. Logging each round with its miles is how you see which is which, and whether a new round is worth taking on.

Returns and collections

Parcel work has returns, and the drive to drop them off is part of the job. When you log a parcel shift, JoltMile asks where you took any returns, so the miles to get there are counted. They are business miles like any other.

Self-employed for tax

Evri couriers are self-employed for tax, including those on the Self-Employed Plus arrangement, which adds holiday pay and a guaranteed rate. Either way you file a Self Assessment return once your earnings pass £1,000. JoltMile keeps the turnover, mileage and expenses ready for it.

Common questions

How does Evri pay work?
Per parcel on a round, not per hour, which means your hourly rate depends almost entirely on how tightly packed the round is.
Do I need a van for Evri?
Not usually. Most Evri rounds can be done in a car with a decent boot.
Can I claim mileage as an Evri courier?
Yes, for every business mile on the round, including returns. 55p a mile for the first 10,000 in a tax year in a car or van, then 25p.

Try it on your next shift
