How does Evri pay work?

Per parcel on a round, not per hour - which means your hourly rate depends almost entirely on how tightly packed your round is.

Evri couriers are paid per parcel delivered or collected on a round, rather than by the hour. The rate per parcel varies by round and by parcel type, and rounds differ enormously in how spread out they are.

That is why two couriers on the same per-parcel rate can earn very different amounts per hour. A dense urban round with 150 parcels across a few streets and a rural round with 90 parcels across 40 miles pay per parcel identically and pay per hour nothing like each other.

Evri pays monthly by BACS, gross, with invoices in the Courier Community App. Nothing is paid for fuel or mileage; you claim that from HMRC.

The figure worth tracking is earnings after fuel and tax, per hour actually worked - including the time sorting at the depot, which is unpaid on most rounds. That is what JoltMile calculates per shift. The Evri courier guide covers Evri Flex and Evri Plus.

When each app pays you, and why the date matters for tax

Most apps pay weekly, on different days, with a fee to get it sooner. Evri pays monthly. The pay date decides how much cash you need in reserve and, at the start and end of the year, which tax year the money falls in.
