Just Eat scheduling runs on a booking system where couriers reserve specific delivery runs in advance. Unlike platforms that operate purely on open sign-ins, Just Eat relies heavily on scheduled shifts to guarantee driver coverage across different zones. You book your runs directly inside the Courier App.

When slots drop and how to grab them

Run availability usually updates on specific days of the week, often on Thursdays, for the upcoming week. Slots go quickly in busy areas. You need to be ready in the app the moment the schedule opens to secure the best hours.

  • Check your app notification settings so you do not miss drop times.
  • Refresh the schedule screen promptly when your zone opens for booking.
  • Keep an eye on the app during the week for dropped runs released by other drivers.

Open runs and working without a schedule

If you miss out on booked runs, you can still check the app for open run availability. When local demand spikes, Just Eat sometimes opens up unassigned areas allowing you to toggle online without a prior booking, though booked couriers get priority for incoming orders.
