Per order. Just Eat calls the fee Transit Pay and works it out from the estimated driving distance, the time to complete the delivery, traffic and the route. The offer shows it before you accept. Restaurant delay reimbursement, Fee Boost runs, other incentives and tips come on top, and everything is paid every Tuesday for the previous Monday to Sunday. The Just Eat courier guide explains scheduled runs and the acceptance rate.

Just Eat has run more than one model in the UK, including a period of employing couriers directly on an hourly basis in some cities before moving back toward self-employment. Which one you are on decides whether tax is deducted for you or not, so check what you actually signed.

If you are self-employed, nothing is deducted, you register with HMRC and you file a return. If you were employed, tax came out through PAYE and you may have nothing to file for that period at all.

A driver who was employed for part of a year and self-employed for the rest files one return covering both. That is normal and the return has boxes for it.

When each app pays you, and why the date matters for tax

Most apps pay weekly, on different days, with a fee to get it sooner. Evri pays monthly. The pay date decides how much cash you need in reserve and, at the start and end of the year, which tax year the money falls in.
