Does JoltMile file my tax return for me?

No. It keeps the records, works out the figures and exports them. You or your accountant file with HMRC.

No. JoltMile is the record-keeping and calculation half, not the filing half.

What it does: logs every shift and expense, applies the mileage rates at the right point in the year, estimates what you will owe as you go, and produces a Self Assessment summary with the figures laid out the way the return asks for them.

What it does not do: submit anything to HMRC. You file through your HMRC online account, or hand the export to an accountant.

That is a deliberate line. Filing software has to be recognised by HMRC and carries obligations of its own, and being honest about where the boundary sits is better than a driver discovering it in the last week of January.
