Am I allowed to leave a food delivery in a safe place if the customer doesn't answer?
Check your app rules before leaving food unattended, as most delivery platforms require direct handover or a specific timer.

You should never leave a food order in a random safe place unless the app specifically tells you that you can do so for that order. Most food delivery apps require you to try calling or messaging the customer first. You usually have to wait out a timer inside the app before you can take further action.
- Check the delivery notes on the screen for explicit customer instructions.
- Use the in-app call or message feature to reach the customer.
- Wait for the countdown timer to finish if the app provides one.
If the timer runs out and the customer still does not respond, the app will usually guide you on what to do next. This often involves taking a photo through the app or returning the item if instructed. Leaving hot food outside without permission can lead to complaints and affect your standing on the platform.
