Evri pays couriers monthly by BACS, with no income tax, National Insurance or anything else taken off. Your invoices are through a link in the Courier Community App.
Monthly pay is the thing new couriers most often underestimate. Your first payment can arrive five or six weeks after your first round, and you are buying fuel every day before it. Start with a month of running costs in reserve.
It also affects the tax year. Under the cash basis most sole traders use, income belongs to the year it is received, so a payment in early April for March's rounds falls into the new tax year.

When each app pays you, and why the date matters for tax
Most apps pay weekly, on different days, with a fee to get it sooner. Evri pays monthly. The pay date decides how much cash you need in reserve and, at the start and end of the year, which tax year the money falls in.

Budgeting for a tax bill you have not had yet
Set aside a percentage of every payment as it arrives, into an account you do not spend from. For most full-time drivers claiming mileage, somewhere between 20% and 30% of what the platforms pay is enough, and the first year needs more because of payments on account.

How does Evri pay work?
Per parcel on a round, not per hour - which means your hourly rate depends almost entirely on how tightly packed your round is.
