What if a platform underpays me?

Raise it in the app within their window, keep your own record of the job, and account for what you were actually paid.

Report it through the app's support route as soon as you notice - most platforms have a short window for pay queries, and after it closes you have very little leverage.

Your own record is what makes the case. If you logged the shift with its hours, miles and expected earnings at the time, you have something concrete to point at rather than a recollection.

For tax, your turnover is what you were actually paid. If an underpayment is later corrected, it counts as income in the period you received it. Do not report money you never received.
