What happens if a Stuart order is cancelled at the restaurant?
If Stuart cancels an order after you arrive at the restaurant, you usually receive a partial payment or cancellation fee.
Last checked 17/10/2026.
If a Stuart order is cancelled after you have already arrived at the restaurant, you should still receive a payment for your time and travel to the pickup spot. Stuart generally pays a cancellation fee if the restaurant closes, runs out of items, or cancels the job through no fault of your own.
What you need to do
- Check that the cancellation shows correctly in your Stuart app history.
- Contact Stuart support through the app chat if the payment does not appear on your earnings screen within a short time.
- Keep your app open and updated so location tracking confirms you arrived at the venue.
Exact payment amounts can depend on how far you rode or drove to reach the pickup location. If you experience ongoing issues with missing cancellation payments, raise a ticket via the Stuart courier portal.

When each app pays you, and why the date matters for tax
Most apps pay weekly, on different days, with a fee to get it sooner. Evri pays monthly. The pay date decides how much cash you need in reserve and, at the start and end of the year, which tax year the money falls in.
