Pay floor (Deliveroo)
A pay floor is a guaranteed minimum rate. Deliveroo's, agreed each year with the GMB union, is a minimum fee per hour of estimated order time, set separately for cars, scooters, e-bikes and bicycles.
Last checked 29/09/2026.
For 2026/27 Deliveroo's floor is £17.18 an hour by car, £14.40 by scooter, £12.99 by e-bike and £12.88 by bicycle, measured against the time Deliveroo estimates each order will take.
What it means for your money
It sets a minimum for each order, not for your shift. Time waiting between orders is not covered, and the floor includes your vehicle costs, so it is not comparable with a wage. Your own hourly rate after costs, logged over whole shifts, is the useful comparison.

When each app pays you, and why the date matters for tax
Most apps pay weekly, on different days, with a fee to get it sooner. Evri pays monthly. The pay date decides how much cash you need in reserve and, at the start and end of the year, which tax year the money falls in.
