Delivery run (Just Eat)

A delivery run is a scheduled block of time, usually three to five hours, when a Just Eat courier is on duty in a zone and receives offers.

You set your availability by Wednesday night and runs for the following week are published on Thursday. You confirm each within 48 hours of the start. Open runs can be picked up at any time and busy runs can be extended.

What it means for your money

A run is time you are available, not time you are paid for: pay is per order during it. Missing a run drops any other run you had in the next 24 hours, which can cost a day's work. Log each run as one shift and your hourly rate will show which runs pay.

Just Eat works differently from the other food apps. You set your availability each week and are scheduled into delivery runs, each order pays Transit Pay, and your acceptance rate decides how quickly offers reach you. Here is how all of it fits together.

When each app pays you, and why the date matters for tax

Most apps pay weekly, on different days, with a fee to get it sooner. Evri pays monthly. The pay date decides how much cash you need in reserve and, at the start and end of the year, which tax year the money falls in.
